Kristin Bateman

Founder

Kristin is a life-long learner and resident of the South Shore in MA.  Graduating from Hanover High School, she knew that she was born for a life of service in education.   She received her B.A. in English with a minor in Secondary Education and a concentration in writing at Bridgewater State, and officially began her teaching career in 2002.  Within a semester, she was back in the BSU classroom, working on her M.A., specializing in Canadian Native-American Post-Modern Lit, and completing a graduate thesis on the works of Thomas King.  After completing that degree, she continues to be a life-long learner, expanding her expertise in post-grad classes in Writing and Writing Theory, Literacy Strategies, Special Education, ELL, and Administrative best practices.

She has worked in public schools, private schools, vocational schools, charter schools, and even spent several years as an adjunct professor in  a local community college.

Kristin is highly trained in private tutoring and Special Education support, Executive Functioning skills and support, college essay writing and editing,   She has worked with students of all abilities from Grades 3-12, has earned her SEI Endorsement.

Outside of her educational life, Kristin is an avid reader, a huge dog lover and dog parent, and works closely with the Plymouth County Comfort Dog Team, through Timothy Cruz, bringing enrichment programs to local schools.
